owner and project leader Mike Ticker, is a graduate of the Rutgers School of Landscape Architecture and has been passionate about the built environment and outdoor spaces since growing up in the wooded suburban town of Morristown, New Jersey.
with his combined experience in landscape architecture, site development, green roofs, and construction management, he’ll help to determine your project budget, a range of options, and a timeline. from there, you’ll continue through design development, where he’ll draw up your final concept and work with you to select the finishing touches for your project.

our process
we strive to explore every possible option while maintaining transparency about costs with you throughout design and construction. Ultimately, our goal is to create meaningful and long-lasting relationships with our clients, customers, and suppliers. We want to build you something that will last a lifetime, not something that will need continual replacing and tune-ups.
- initial consultation
- layout & design concept: we work to evaluate your goals and get a sense of your vision for the space, always taking into account the existing site conditions.
- planting presentation and selection
- irrigation systems
- low voltage lighting and audio
- pavers, ipe tiles, decks
- budgeting & pricing: after the design is approved, we’ll present a formal proposal with full project pricing for review together. The design can be refined at this point to meet the specific needs of the project.
- turn-key installation
- handover & warranty phase: we provide a breakdown and as-built drawing of what was installed so that you can either manage the landscape on your own or easily hand it off to a maintenance professional.
with irrigation systems, we always recommend contracting with a service company each season to winterize before the start of winter and start the system up in late spring.
